Our versatile verge mower is suitable for mowing tricky grassed areas and maintaining low hedges, banks, shrubs, and orchards. These mowers can be attached to the 3-point linkage of small and compact tractors. When used horizontally, they are ideal for cutting up to and around trees and when tilted for verges and ditches. As well as an upwards 90° vertical movement, it can be used at a 45° angle for maintaining shrubs and other vegetation. The Winton tractor verge flail mower has adjustable working heights from 3-8cm, requiring two double-acting hydraulic spools on the tractor to operate.
This verge flail mower benefits from a rear roller, which is adjustable, along with the tractor top link arm to change the working height and finish, preventing blade scalping on uneven areas. Special features of these mowers include a hedge tilt with a left-hand offset, upgraded bearings for smooth action, and spirally arranged hammer blades for efficient results. Three drive belts give power to the blade rotor shaft. Two adjustable height skids help to provide an even cut. Four hoses activate left-to-right movement and up and down tilt.
