Paddock Cleaner
PADDOCK CLEANER - FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Our paddock cleaner range is designed for poo picking horse manure, Alpaca and other animal poop from the fields and paddocks. Good paddock maintenance is essential for controlling parasites that might affect the health of your horses, and veterinary surgeons encourage horse owners to poo pick the fields regularly to maintain a low worm count.
The Trafalgar paddock cleaners are manufactured in the UK and are available as manual, towable and self-propelled models. These machines are rugged, yet lightweight in design, easy to start and simple to use. Their unique "clean fan" vacuum system means there is less chance of horse poo blocking up, unlike other "dirty fan" paddock cleaners. Powered by Honda four-stroke (unleaded petrol) engines for reliability, low maintenance and fuel efficiency, our paddock cleaners are also very easy to clean. Whether the horse poo is old or new, in short or long grass, wet, dry or even scattered, the Trafalgar Paddock Cleaner will vacuum it up all year round. |

WHY USE A PADDOCK CLEANER?
Paddock and stable clearing just couldn't be quicker or easier!
The unique clean fan paddock vacuum system enables you to suck horse poo, alpaca droppings, dog faeces, poultry and game shed bedding, shotgun cartridges, spent clays, garden waste, wood shavings, sawdust, shredded paper, acorns, conkers, chestnuts and general litter. It can also suck up leaves from a gravel driveway without sucking up the stones by adjusting the engine revs accordingly, and can even be used for cleaning out the bottom of water troughs and ponds.
Paddock Maintenance
Good pasture management is the key to clean paddocks and healthy horses. Manure contaminated with parasite eggs is the most common way in which worms re-infect your horses' environment. Exposing your horse to the minimum amount of manure is the best way of reducing, if not eliminating harmful parasites. The early lifecycle of most internal parasites involves eggs and larvae which are dropped onto the ground in the poop by an infected horse which could end up infecting other horses when grazing in the fields. Picking up droppings as often as possible will reduce the number of parasites and encourage the horses to eat from the whole of the field reducing selective grazing. This poo picking machine sucks the poop straight into the collection tub via a 5-inch diameter hose. The fan is located on the outside of the machine and has a filter sock positioned inside the vacuum to stop any manure or other debris from causing damage to the paddock cleaner. These machines work in all weather conditions and on wet and dry poo.
The paddock vacuums can also be used to clean out water troughs, muck out the stables as well as cleaning up loose hay where the hay nets are filled. Mucking out your horses regularly with a paddock vacuum cleaner will help eliminate the risks of infection in confined areas. Poo picking your pastures regularly is the most effective way of reducing your horse's parasite problem. A paddock vacuum cleaner is a huge help with this arduous task, especially in large fields. These paddock cleaners are quicker, easier, and more efficient at poo picking when compared to manual back breaking, time consuming methods such as the shovel and wheelbarrow. Good paddock maintenance helps reduce the risk of infection and contributes to a low worm count. A paddock sweeper can also be effective for the maintenance of your paddocks.

PADDOCK CLEANER REVIEWS
Paddock cleaner review

We bought our Trafalgar machine back in October 2009. It is regularly used for poo picking 3 paddocks, spread over 4 and a half acres situated on flat ground. My wife and I both use the machine, with me being in my 60s and my wife in her 50s, we find it very light and easy to use in every aspect. I would say that with the paddock vacuum cleaner we do the work 3 times faster than when we did it manually!
Very impressive, to us anyway! is the fact that we use this machine seasonally to keep a 14-acre estate clear of leaves and debris. We have more than 100 deciduous trees dropping their leaves regularly. We have 6 copper beech trees (we call them dirty trees), 2 of which are 80ft tall, which require a lot of clearing up after at various times of the year. We vacuum up leaves, sheaves, and kernels (spiky shells) from the trees. To top it all we have 5 oak trees shedding their acorns and leaves and when using the paddock vacuum, I would say the job gets done at least 6 times faster than doing it manually. Unfortunately, we recently seized the machine which has a 2-stroke Kawasaki engine, so we contacted Fresh Group Products, as they supplied us with original machine. We got the same prompt and professional service from Keith as previously, and he is supplying us with the replacement which has a Honda 4-stroke engine. I have to say that this poo picker is very light and easy to use, it does a fantastic job and is a time saver. I would thoroughly recommend both the Fresh Group and the poo picker. First class service!

PC1000 Swivel
We bought the large swivel model, which has proved invaluable and is about 70% quicker in clearing the paddocks of manure. Being an animal rescue centre with 50 or so animals at any one time consisting of horses, Kunekune (pot-bellied) pigs, Castlemilk Moorit sheep (rare breed horned sheep) and donkeys, doing the paddock cleaning manually was just taking too long, hence the need to consider buying a machine. Already having a very old Honda farm quad, we opted for a towable model. We also liked the fact that the hose and the actual machine itself are very easy and light to use as both myself and my wife do the poo picking. The machine is normally used every two to three days and we clear sixteen acres of paddocks, normally emptying a maximum of 3 times each time we poo pick the fields. Earlier this year we needed to replace the hose and then a damaged wheel and the aftersales service was there when we needed it. Your advice and service has been 1st class and I would happily recommend Fresh Group both for product advice and suitability and aftersales care.

Self Propelled PC450H4
Thank you, Keith, for supplying me my second machine. As you know you supplied me my original towable model at the Alpaca show back in 2008 which was a swivel towable model which I used when living in Nantwich (Cheshire), for poo picking after my fourteen alpacas and two goats. The swivel machine was great behind my very old Honda ride-on lawnmower. Having now moved to Cornwall, where the land, shall we say, is somewhat more undulating, with some slopes to contend with, I replaced the old towable model with my lovely, new, self-propelled muck truck mounted unit, which of course you supplied to me recently. Being a single lady and managing my land and animals on my own I need machinery that is easy to use and does what it should without being hard work! As a returning long-term customer, I would like to thank you again for your advice and guidance on what paddock cleaner was the most suitable for my set up. It was lovely to see you again, working as hard as ever at the Alpaca show earlier in the year, and seeing your smallholder product range expand. Please feel free to use me as a reference for any future customers. You know your stuff.
Regards, Ruth

Keith, thank you so much for supplying us our paddock cleaner. We operate a DIY 12 horse livery which is spread over 25 acres with 26 paddocks. You may recall we purchased the large swivel paddock cleaner with a Honda engine which we tow behind our Iseki compact tractor. It is used to poo pick the paddocks on a weekly basis. We also use the paddock vacuum cleaner to clean out the water troughs of which we have 17 shared between the paddocks. Another use we have for the paddock vacuum is sucking up leaves, we have 4 acres of garden and yard areas where we have an annual task of gathering up the leaves, we manually push the paddock cleaner which the girls find easy. It sucks up wet leaves no problem and because we are only gathering them up without other debris, we now rot them down which produces excellent weed free compost. It has been one of our best purchases, thanks again Keith. We will be in touch when we need other equipment.

I purchased a paddock cleaner last year and cannot express enough how pleased I am with it. I have 12 acres of land, split into paddocks and we poo pick all 12 acres on a daily basis. The machine is used by several people, including my daughter, who is only 5Ft tall. Prior to this, we poo picked manually, which was simply slow and hard work. The shaving fork was leaving some of it behind and the shovel picked up the poo as well as half the turf. It was just a “pain in the***”. Paddock maintenance and cleaning is now 3 times faster. Based on Keith’s advice, we chose the PC1000 swivel model and as he suggested the benefit of the 360° swivel and the large collection tank has considerably cut down the time we spend poo picking. The machine is light and easy to manoeuvre. This machine is fantastic! easy to hitch up, and light and easy to start. Apart from the poo picking, we use it for sucking up leaves and grass and clearing the conkers from 38 mature conker trees which fall over 2 paddocks. We also intend to use it for cleaning out the water troughs and cleaning the horseboxes. I would “absolutely 100% recommend” the product and the service provided by Keith at Fresh Group. He got back to me immediately following my initial inquiry and his knowledge and advice of both the product and our needs was excellent. The demonstration was also useful as it enabled us to purchase the correct machine to suit our needs.Once again Keith, a big thank you for your professional service. The product and your company are first class.
Caroline & Martin Day
A PC50 was supplied to Caroline and Martin Day from the New Forest, having a few Alpaca boys as pets she needed an easy solution for poo picking her fields."I ordered the machine at 6:30PM on the Friday, Keith at Fresh Group Products did advise that it might not fit into my Mini Cooper being such a small car, but I wanted to try it, so Keith met me at his works' unit at 11:45PM on the Saturday, where he "carefully" loaded it into my new "Goodman" Mini Cooper and to all our astonishment it fitted in nice and snug. I now am happily poo vacuuming my paddocks, keeping the Alpacas clear of infections from poor paddock maintenance. Thank you Keith for great service and advice, happy to recommend you. Caroline".

"Hello Keith, just to let you know that having used the paddock cleaner for 2 months now, I can honestly say that it exceeds expectations. It picks up anything even in long wet grass and my wife remains delighted with her Birthday present although many of our friends still think it was a strange present". Regards, David
