John Baldwin from Crymych: "My wife and I use this electric wheelbarrow on our 9 acres of land which has plenty of slopes. This machine is of great build quality and carries a larger load than a conventional wheelbarrow. We found it very easy to remove and install the battery for charging. Good communication and service from the seller". 04/03/2020 Ian Marshall (Tunbridge Wells) sent us the following comments: “All the wood/logs, and composting bins are at the lower end of the garden, so everything must be carted uphill, so this machine has been fantastic. I can move many loads now, whereas I only managed 2 or 3 loads with a manual barrow. My back is not too healthy, so this machine has been fantastic. I received it around February this year in all the heavy rain, and at the time it did not perform well on the very short but steep slopes, but since then I have had no problems. It is a real pleasure to use. It is just me using the barrow as it is kept for my bigger gardening jobs and I take the battery away to recharge. I am 70 years old and I sometimes use the machine without the battery connected, on the flatter parts of the garden when I take weeds, etc., downhill to the chickens, because it is easily pushed back uphill when it is empty. The build quality is excellent, and it has a very chunky tyre that I think would be very difficult to puncture. The battery is very easy to put in, the disc brake is excellent to slow the wheelbarrow going downhill, and the two castor wheels on the rear makes it very stable. The response from Fresh Group Products regarding my order was quick and I had the unit delivered to my workplace as instructed. Keith was very knowledgeable about the product so I was very happy that I would receive a machine that would be very useful to me. In short, just a fantastic buy that has benefited me greatly!” |

Rod Balfour (Arundel) uses his machine mainly on his 1 acre of land which is on a slope. Comparing it to a manual wheelbarrow, Rod said: “There is no comparison, a huge increase in productivity (all spare soil and compost has to be wheeled down to the bottom of the garden). Everyone in the household uses it, the young and the old. Great piece of kit. I would recommend it, and Fresh Group Products!”.

Richard Ferris (West Sussex). “With 2 acres of land and great inclines, we found this powered wheelbarrow holds a lot more than a conventional barrow. Everything about this machine, the build quality, ease of use, benefits etc. is good! I would recommend both the machine, and Fresh Group Products!

John Cleeve (Edenbridge) is an 83-year-old man who maintains 2 acres of land. John commented: “There is no comparison between this battery powered barrow and a manual one!. As an 80-year-old I would not be able to do nearly as much with a manual barrow. Whether is pushing heavy loads (wood chippings) or working uphill, this unit is ideal for the tasks. I would also use the flatbed rack for carrying bales of hay. I happily recommend the Sherpa barrow and Fresh Group Products”.

Dave Lunnen (Cornwall) does regular work on his 2/3-acre land with inclines and a height which varies by 20ft from top to bottom. He made the following comments: “Brilliant machine!. I have a bad back (I am 77 years old), so the barrow must pull me around the garden as well!! The machine has acquired some small rust marks in the bottom of the skip from carrying concrete blocks and rocks from a rockery and not retouching the paint, but after nearly 18 months, everything else is like new. Fantastic carrying capacity, 8x50L bags of compost, no problem, nor is filling the skip to overflowing with damp manure with no loss of performance. We have not needed to do anything to this machine since we bought it, it is all good. No trouble whatsoever and I have never had the battery even run flat during a day’s work. I am very glad I bought it; it gets better as my back gets worse. I would recommend both the machine and the company”.

Sara Cadbury (Brockenhurst). Sara emailed us these comments: "I would like to say that I think that your Sherpa is excellent – easy to use, light, very easy to manoeuvre, easy to recharge, and able to carry a good amount of ‘stable stuff!’. My original (huge) barrow (which had a brake and a reverse gear, and could climb up a very high muck heap!) and was used twice a day for 22 years, was a very difficult machine to compete with! For your info (it was the complicated charger that eventually ’blew up’ and as it was American made I was unable to replace it), however, your battery powered machine is excellent and does the job very well indeed.
Regards, Sara Cadbury"

Mr G. Wilkinson (Ulverston). With ¼ of an acre and slopes in his garden, Mr. Wilkinson said after buying and using the Sherpa barrow: “This battery powered wheelbarrow is marvellous and there is no pushing required. I am the person using the machine mostly, and I am 90 years old! It is very easy to use, very manoeuvrable and sturdily built. Fresh Group Products provided a good service, and I would happyly recommend them".

Paul Ritchings (Carmarthen) is 67 years of age and has 1 acre of land to maintain. Paul said: “It is so much easier to do work with this machine! It takes the strain out of it, no lifting of the handles. The build quality is good, easy to use and charge. Ideally, I would prefer it if it had 4 wheels instead of 3, especially if going up or down a slope with the skip fully loaded, but otherwise the barrow is well made, strong and should last for years. It has been a great purchase!"

Pete Macklin (Tingwall Valley). Pete, a 66-year-old man, found it difficult to work on his land with and ordinary wheelbarrow. Pete said: “I could only fill half or a normal wheelbarrow when back filling the retaining walls to level the area, but now I am able to move full loads with no bother. Five stars!"

Gareth Derbyshire (Newton Stewart). Having 1.5 acres of sloped land to contend with, Gareth was extremely pleased to have bought the barrow with the flatbed attachment. He said: “My wife and myself are both 60 years of age and going up hill with heavy loads of stone, compost, logs and bark is so easy now that I would not use a normal wheelbarrow anymore. This is an excellent product with great build quality, easy to assemble and easy to use. It enables me to cope with a large, sloped garden. The tipping action of the Sherpa is particularly useful when moving bark, soil and logs. Fresh Group Products had the best price that I could find, they were very clear on the information and ordering was easy. I was kept informed about shipping times and delivery of the product. I would definitely recommend this excellent machine!”
