How to use our chainsaw mill
Fit the chainsaw into the mill using 4xM10 bolts for safety, set the cutting depth and you are ready to go. Do the first cut by running the chainsaw down a flat board or ladder which is fixed to the log, giving a flat surface, so you can then run the mill down and proceed with further cuttings. You can easily saw at 90 degrees to your first cut and produce timber sizes of 4x2, 6x2 and so on. Having a large chainsaw is not always necessary when milling boards. If you are planning to use a 36"mill bar and massive wide planks, it is possible to use small chainsaws with 15" milling bars to create smaller logs or for splitting beams or sleepers to finish the work in your workshop. In these instances, you may lose about 6" of cutting length in the clamping system, so bear this in mind when selecting your bar and mill attachment.
